*D*I*S*N*E*Y*L*A*N*D*

Oh I am exhausted! We had a wonderful time this past week in Disneyland, it's even nicer when it's all decked out for Christmas... the girls had so much fun. Kadyn was an angel as usual, such a trooper. When we do Disney, we do it for real... we're there from opening to closing, and Kadyn did great! So pretty for Christmas
It was so cold while we were there, granted we've acclimated to Vegas weather. But when I checked the forecast it said 70's. Something must have changed. Luckily I overpack, I had fleeces, sweatshirts, jackets, hats and mittens for the girls. Me, I had nothing. Just a sweatshirt. Matthew's a big tough man so he wasn't cold. I was freezing!!!At night it was really nice too, they'd even make it snow! Us waiting for the parade, we have to get the good seats... so Kadyn and I would sit on a bench like 2.5 hours beforehand.
Off they go while I sit on our bench :) I didn't mind, it was nice to relax.
Precious little thing. I kept feeling her legs to make sure, but she was as snug as a bug... nice and warm.

Did I mention that I was freezing? It was so cold, I kept a child on my lap at all times for body warmth.... (sitting on a cold bench for a few hours probably didn't help)
Matthew and Kylie were on Tower of Terror (like 4 times) so Kacey made a friend. Goofy kissed her on the cheek and she was so excited, she was talking about it all afternoon!

This was cute, the little train ride...

Love Kacey's smile here, Kylie's like "Dad can you hurry up?!"

We even saw Santa's REINDEER!

I love this picture, they're watching a Princess show. Look at Kylie, that is such a typical Boyd stance. (seriously, how much does that look like her father and her uncles?!!?)

You and me babe, sitting on a bench again. We did the parade and fireworks every night we were there. It was really great, I loved the Christmas parade and how all the floats were decorated.

OUT! Can you make some room for me in there :)

Tea cups, of course they had to pick the pink one... they always have to sit in the pink tea cup.

THE END, seriously I'm so exahusted and I still have a bizzilion loads of laundry to do... but it was super fun. Thanks for surviving all those pictures :)

Black Friday Baby!

Up and out by 2:45 am, picked up my Mom and we headed to Wal-Mart.

I was so excited, I scratched Matthew's car while pulling out of the garage (ooopsie! sorry babe) It's not that bad.

Matthew came to Wal-Mart about 45 minutes later, baby in tow to stand in line for our electronic finds: a plasma for our bedroom and blu ray disc.

My mom and I divided and conquered, the best strategy for Black Friday... throw it all in the cart and decide later. I got a bunch of clothes, super sales on jammies, slippers, jeans, jackets.... Minnie Mouse, Tinkerbell, so fun... such cute stuff! Although I'm not sure how much I exactly save $$$ when I have to buy 3 sets. What can you do? I got the cutest Baby Alive doll that eats and you have to change her diaper... had to buy 2 of course so Kylie and Kacey each have their own.

So much fun... love Black Friday deals!

Stuffed

And I'm not talking about the turkey!
Here's our feast, I'm so full and it's been over 5 hours since we ate. Ugh.
I really enjoy cooking our Thanksgiving meal. We had: turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, German potatoes, stuffing (courtesy of my dad, his stuffing is the best), sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, corn, carrots, peas, lima beans (gross, Matthew's the only one who eats them), cornbread, strawberry muffins, rolls, cranberry sauce, cranberry/pineapple pie, pumpkin pie, apple pie. I think that's all... my parents didn't even take leftovers home, my fridge is full... good thing we have Aaron here. He's a great garbage disposal.
SO YEAH, I'm stuffed!
*************
Leaving 2:45 am tonight for Black Friday Sales... we're hitting Wal-Mart. It's a good thing I've been doing some kickboxing... it could get dangerous there :)

Thankful Thursday

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Today I'm thankful for:

1. A beautiful home that's cool in the summer and warm in the winter, yummy food (I love to cook Thanksgiving dinner), a hot hubby (who's started reading New Moon with me) and 3 beautiful babies who let me sleep a majority of the night. What else could I ask for!

2. Sweet baby Kadyn who's satisfied with all that I do. She's so easy, so content, just happy to be held and loved. And I'm so grateful that she'll never remember how many times I've mistakenly called her Kacey :) The unconditional love a baby has to her mother, so sweet and wonderful... nothing like it.

3. Cheap gas. We've lived in Vegas for nearly 4 years, never have we seen it under $2.25. Not that I drive anywhere far, not that I fill up often enough that it even matters, but seeing gas at $1.90 just makes me happy!

4. Uncle Aaron's visit. He's become a regular guest for Thanksgiving since he's been up at BYU. I love it when he comes down. First of all, the girls adore him. Second of all, he eats like you wouldn't believe. I'm Italian, it makes me happy when I see people eat. And he eats anything and likes it... Matthew is the pickiest eater (so are our children).

5. Our Disneyland trip is next week, yippeeeeeeeeeeeee! I love Disneyland when it's decorated for Christmas.

*now it's time for me to get my turkey going... dinner at noon, movies at 3!*

***************

Remember in a post a while ago, I think it was on the 9th year anniversary that I met Matthew... I mentioned he had blonde tipped hair, everyone commented on wanting to see a picture of it, well I found a picture... here's the hot stuff I fell in love with!

Real Men Sparkle

Love my husband... he read Twilight (mainly to see what we were all gawking about). He actually read it to me every night and finished it fairly fast (not 2 days like me) but about a week and a half. Today he sat with me to see MY movie. And he actually liked it, he didn't make fun at all, and said it was good. Even asked pertinent questions while we were watching it and making comparisons to the book. And I know when it comes out on dvd, he'll watch it with me again.
Your the greatest :) Thanks babe.
*For Christmas I'll get you the t-shirt, "I'm Her Edward."* They'll love that at basketball ;P

Twilight

(I'm not giving anything away, so you can read on if you haven't seen the movie yet... although we've all read the book so we know what happens)

What a fun day! I went to see Twilight today with a bunch of awesome girls. We got there an hour early to secure our fabulous center seats... bought our tickets FANDANGO like 3 weeks ago, too bad the theater wasn't full... but that's okay!!!!!! It was such a fun girls "morning" out, the movie was great.
*******
The Verdict: No, the movie is not as good as the book. But think about how much time we devote to reading the book(s) and then re-reading and discussing with friends and going to book clubs. There's no way to sum up all that and compare it to a 2 hour movie, it's just not a fair comparison. I was pleased with the movie, and I'm excited to go see it again! I do wonder if the movie flows if you haven't read the books. I mean I truly understand how deep Edward's love for Bella is... but from an outsider's perspective, I'm not sure the depth of it is really understood.
The best parts were those little funny subtle remarks that you could only understand after reading all 4 books, and Midnight Sun, and thus truly knowing the characters. The book is better, but the movie is still worth seeing. I don't know what to do with myself if they take a whole year for the second one to come out.

3. My mom's babysitting my girls, so that I can go with a group of girls tomorrow during the day to see Twilight. She's awesome! Thanks MOMMA!
4. Twilight
5. OH YEAH, Twilight is coming out tomorrow.

***Santa's Lap***

No tears, no one was hesistant, so I consider it a success... although Kacey wouldn't show emotion either way. Matthew was ducking under the camera to get her to smile, didn't work :) but at least everyone is in the picture. Kylie looks adorable. Hold onto that baby Santa!

Then we did lunch at Meadow's Mall... Notice the ice cream while they are in their pretty dresses, yeah... that was all Matthew! He noticed the DQ while we were eating and off he went, slowly but surely the girls followed... Look at that chocolate goop :)

Love that face!
Kylie is really good at taking pictures (little does she know, she's getting a pink camera from Santa)

Sunday Morning Pictures

Pictures of my group, we were really shocked... this was the first picture- everyone looking and smiling at the camera. Usually we have to take 10 for maybe 1 good one. And yes, all my girls matching!

Sometimes the bloopers are fun too! :)

Kadyn is such a Daddy's girl!

So we had family pictures done yesterday with Anna, it was super fun. Anna is so great with the kids, and it was a task to get everyone situated and looking and smiling. I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out! But the day must have tuckered Little Kacey out, this is how I found her at 7:30 last night.

***Tomorrow we're sitting on Santa's Lap, can't wait for pictures of that. It should be interesting the last time Kylie would sit on Santa's lap was when she was 9 months old. Each year after that she adamantly refused. Our picture last year is Kacey all by herself... all the bribing in the world wouldn't make Kylie sit there. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

*Weekly Round-Up*

1. Contrary to what Stephenie Meyer has convinced us, I don't want to be a vampire. I was holding Kacey and somehow, for some reason, she decided to bite me. AND it hurt!!! Big time. She bit me right on the inside, soft part of my arm, down near my elbow. I screamed, Matthew and Kylie came running. Kacey started crying from my loud scream. It bled and it hurt. I bet she won't do that again.

2. A source of contention in our house is our nightly jammie contest, seriously how this ended up being such a big thing I don't know. A few nights ago Kylie won (although still dripping wet, but her jammies were on so she won). Well, Matthew would not say she won- would not give her the satisfaction. He kept saying "no you didn't, you lost." And she was getting really upset. The two of them kept going back and forth. Kylie was as sour as can be. Finally I jumped in and told Matthew to tell the truth, she won fair and square. So he said, "Kylie you won." You should have seen her content little face, it was like night and day, completely bipolar. Super funny.

3. Success with the big girl's bed for Kacey, even naptime is good. She goes right down, it's really wonderful. With Kylie, we lost naptime when she transitioned into a big girl's bed. During Kacey's naptime, Kylie and I have been sweating it to workout videos in our family room. (I know, how 80's am I?) We move the coffee table and get jars of tomato sauce to use as our hand weights :)

4. Family pictures tomorrow for the Christmas card... hopefully my group can all smile and look nice for at least one photo. (Anna's got her work cut out for her!) Now, if I can only figure out what we are going to wear.

5. My aunt was here this week, we hadn't seen her in a few years. Her and my dad are twins, which always makes Matthew and I hold our breath until we have our first dr appt... some women can do it, I'm not one of them... twins would do me in. Anyways, we had fun seeing you Aunt Chiarina, the girls will miss you!!!

6. Kadyn's had her 2 month dr appt today, appropriately on her 2 month birthday. She's 10 lbs 2 oz and 21.5 inches long! Finally, we've passed the 10 pound mark! She got a whole bunch of shots today, poor girl... she was happy as anything staring at her Daddy, then Mr. Nurse started with the series of shots. She screamed her head off, poor baby. Hopefully we don't experience any side effects.

Thankful Thursday

This week, I'm thankful for:

1. Daddy/Daughter/Daughter Date Night. Matthew and the big girls went out for the evening and while I really enjoyed my alone time (well, Kadyn was with me but one kid is a breeze) I LOVE their little faces as he loads them up in his car... both girls SOOO excited for what's to come!!!

2. Kadyn knows my smell. When she's skin on skin, like if her face is near my neck or her face is on my arm, she starts opening her mouth (probably like, "where is it? I'll get food somewhere here!") I just love it, I've never seen her do it to anyone else but me. She knows me :)

3. That little face Kadyn makes as I pull the shirt off her head, one of my other girls liked it too. I can't remember, I think Kylie. Just as the shirt is brushing over the eyes, over the top of the head, she makes this little happy face.

4. Anticipation. I feel like I have so much to look forward too, and I LOVE IT! I'll do a quick run down in chronlogical order: Twlight!!!!!!!, Thanksgiving, Early Morning Black Friday Shopping, Disneyland, Birthday, Christmas, New Years... fun fun fun. (did I mention Twilight!???!! I get so excited when I see commercials on TV)

5. That little bit of time where all the kids are asleep and I get to lie in bed doing nothing :) Of course, usually my husband's like "can you rub my neck? can you rub my back? my head hurts, can you rub my head?" :) hehe.

Weekend Pictures

This picture was taken prior to the incident. Let me share the "incident."
Kacey got tired of bowling (we were at Cosmic Night at Santa Fe, all dark with all the sparkling lights... etc) Matthew was bowling for his turn and Kacey's turn, he ended up getting like 6 strikes in a row b/w both his and Kacey's turn.
Aaron starts doing really good too, he's a good bowler but in his own words he's inconsistent. He had 5 strikes in a row, Matthew (in an effort to be funny) rolled a ball down when Aaron wasn't looking. It screwed up his score, Aaron was so angry he had to walk off. We all kinda thought it was funny, didn't really mean any harm. Poor Aaron, always getting ganged up on, always the butt of the baby of the family jokes. We love you Aaron, and yes Aaron was the first one ready early Thursday morning to drive from Utah to here... (if you remember that post last week).
Sweet baby :)
Wow, no kids... quick let's run for it!

Grandpa's Girls.

Kacey and Uncle Aaron..

I love her smile here.

Kadyn was just relaxing staring at all the lights for cosmic hour!

Getting ready for Kacey's turn to bowl...

I DID IT!!!
Kylie and her Aunt Rosie... Kylie says that she's my sister, since all her uncles are Matthew's brothers... makes sense.

Kylie could handle it all on her own, although Kacey's score was higher because of Daddy's help. We didn't tell Kylie that... if you know her, you know why (she's just like her father!)

Big Hugs, this one's my favorite. The night before, everyone went to the strip and to ESPN Zone. Well, we stayed home and enjoyed ourselves at Kohls and then Grandma took us girls out for ice cream!!!
