Lost in a Moment

Ever just have one little moment and it just throws you back to another time...

Matthew and Kylie went to see Horton Hears a Who. Kacey was napping. I was organizing baby girl #3's new closet (well, I was helping... my mom was the brains and energy behind it all)

ANYWAYS, we're going through bins and I found a the little blue/pink hat that we got from the hospital. I remember Kacey wore it for like 3 weeks straight, because she had no hair and all our other hats were huge on her small sweet head. So, I pick it up (awwwwwwwwwwww, enters into my brain). And I smell it............... my knees buckled. It still smelled like her baby smell. Mind you nothing else in the bin smelled like that baby smell, but when I open the little hat, where her little head would go in... it smelled like her as a baby.

Hours later, I remember to go and have Matthew smell it... it's nice to know that I'm not a crazy, pregnant women hallucinating smells, he could smell it too. I have it with me and I keep smelling it like I'm addicted, but I'm afraid I'm going to smell it all away so I'll probably tuck it away in one of my drawers.

FUN!

It took me forever to find one, because we are really limited with the backyard space. Our backyard is an "L" shape... and let's face it, lots are not plentiful here in Vegas. So this one was a nice fit for us. It's about 11 feet high, that inclined rock wall is 6 feet, so it should be large enough to keep the girls' interest for a few years.
I was getting really anxious too because the weather has been GORGEOUS lately, (right now it's 79, I'm totally bragging to you cold people right now) and Kylie's just playing with her sad little chalk pieces outback.
So, the playset should arrive in about 10 days, I just can't wait to tire the girls out on it so they fall asleep fast and sleep good through the night! :)
(yes that was my true motive, and for that purpose alone it's worth every penny!)

Oh SO Yummy!

So today, it was placed in my mind that I wanted Cafe Rio (thanks Erin :) hehe). There's one in Summerlin and I have yet to go... (yes it's been about 3 years since my last Cafe Rio experience)... and I had to muster up the energy anyways today to meet Matthew at work because we needed to buy a new computer (every morning this one starts is a shock to me)...

SO we went to Cafe Rio for lunch. I had my yummy grilled chicken salad, ahhhhhhhhhhh. It's so funny because we were sitting there and Matthew looks at me and he goes, "you're gonna put this on the blog, huh?" YUP! It was so fabulous, and there wasn't even a line. I mean, in Utah, by BYU I remember standing in line for 60-90 minutes to get the fabulous salad I crave. There were like 4 people in line, it was marvelous, made my day!!!
