6 Months

Kadyn is 6 months old today, I can't believe how fast the time flies! It was one year ago this month that I was frantically waiting my blood test results to find out her gender :) So Fun!

She is just the sweetest thing ever, so content with life around her. She smiles all the time, she's got the biggest happiest smile. She's holding her bottle, not perfectly but she gets it where it needs to be. She's grabbing toys- picking it up with one hand and transferring it to the other, then obviously sticking it in her mouth. Everything goes in her mouth. She's almost sitting up. We can hold onto her legs when she sits, and you can feel her working her stomach muscles keeping herself up. Sitting up on her own is right around the corner. She's always so amused by her older sisters, they entertain her all day long... makes my job just slightly easier. She loves peas and green beans, by those chubba monka cheekies you can tell she's a good eater. She makes noises when she sees her bottle coming... and I swear it, she says, "I want Momma" when she's screaming her head off. Seriously, it sounds like it. Happy half birthday baby girl, Momma loves you!!!

The Morning After...

Enrichment --that is.

Thank you to everyone who pitched in to help yesterday. Thank you to those, who it's not even your calling and you were helping out because you are just some of my most awesomest friends! And it was my responsibility so it became yours too... Totally love ya!

Huge thank you to Nicole Bell, who gave me probably the best compliment that I will be relishing in for the next few months. Oh and your musical number was fabulous, I expected nothing less than the best from you!

And thanks to everyone who showed up for a fun dinner, evening... and to offer support. All in all, huge success... and no pictures to show for it :) From 3:15 pm yesterday until about 10 pm, I felt like my head was spinning and I was just trying to keep up. While I thought to bring my camera, I lost that thought somewhere between "oh crap, all the hams aren't fitting in my enormous roaster oven and slow cooker" and "oh crap, i drove 15 mph so nothing would spill in my car to get to church and i forgot my husband's church keys at home to open the doors and get in." Yeah, camera was forgotten. :)

Thanks ladies! You're all awesome.

Sunday Pictures

Confusing Morning: time change= 1 hour less sleep.
Matthew gone for Priesthood by 7 am. (again really 6)
Stake Conference at 10 (really 9 am), needing to sit for 2 hours in one spot= need extra snacks and things to keep them busy...

**** MEANING, it's ALL me ALL morning and get 4 women ready (and survival bags packed up) by what really seems like 9 am****
~~~~Pictures are random due to the circumstances~~~~
Matthew came home after Priesthood for 3.5 seconds to take this one (only one child ready yet) to go save us seats at church.
So that's why Kacey's not in this picture... and that's why we don't have a family picture this week. Matthew never made it into a picture, sorry dear.
Kylie did however get one of me and Kadyn... shhh, don't tell Daddy. He'll flip if he knew Kylie was holding, let alone using, the camera :P
A close up, she was so excited... I let her wear one of my necklaces. She's such a big girl!
Manrichment
Pictures from the big event!
Friday night, my house was turned into Guy Heaven- due to a minor building scheduling conflict/situation. HOWEVER, when I woke up Saturday morning my house was perfectly back to normal... so I was happy.
Now question, I'm Enrichment Leader... when we plan Enrichments, they're uplifting and spiritual... however the Elders Quorum activites are hmmm... well, there was a prayer on the food, so I guess that can be considered spiritual :) There was a great turn-out and from the noise I heard upstairs, everyone was having a blast... so I guess that's really all that mattered.
*******
Gaming Madness! There were even awards given out at the end... Matthew got gold glitter all over himself making them (real men sparkle!)
They set up a projecter having dual screens in my living room and my dining room... I think allowing 8 people to play at a time.
The Wii was in my family room.
I think PS3 was in the toy room.
This was the sight all evening....
Plenty of man food, I sampled everything :) *nice perk to it being at my house
(nothing sweet though, you can tell women didn't plan it)
The only downside with all the MAN food, was all night while I was trying to sleep there were too many smells... too many overpowering greasy smells all mixing together... ugh, made me sick. I had to air out the downstairs in the morning. My garage got turned into a game room. Every now and again I would hear PING from a ball hitting my cabinets :) I was just glad that wasn't in my house!
*Next Manrichment is the Pinewood Derby ~for men. Should be exciting. Let's hope that one's not at my house too!!!! :)
