Real Men Sparkle

Love my husband... he read Twilight (mainly to see what we were all gawking about). He actually read it to me every night and finished it fairly fast (not 2 days like me) but about a week and a half. Today he sat with me to see MY movie. And he actually liked it, he didn't make fun at all, and said it was good. Even asked pertinent questions while we were watching it and making comparisons to the book. And I know when it comes out on dvd, he'll watch it with me again.
Your the greatest :) Thanks babe.
*For Christmas I'll get you the t-shirt, "I'm Her Edward."* They'll love that at basketball ;P

Twilight

(I'm not giving anything away, so you can read on if you haven't seen the movie yet... although we've all read the book so we know what happens)

What a fun day! I went to see Twilight today with a bunch of awesome girls. We got there an hour early to secure our fabulous center seats... bought our tickets FANDANGO like 3 weeks ago, too bad the theater wasn't full... but that's okay!!!!!! It was such a fun girls "morning" out, the movie was great.
*******
The Verdict: No, the movie is not as good as the book. But think about how much time we devote to reading the book(s) and then re-reading and discussing with friends and going to book clubs. There's no way to sum up all that and compare it to a 2 hour movie, it's just not a fair comparison. I was pleased with the movie, and I'm excited to go see it again! I do wonder if the movie flows if you haven't read the books. I mean I truly understand how deep Edward's love for Bella is... but from an outsider's perspective, I'm not sure the depth of it is really understood.
The best parts were those little funny subtle remarks that you could only understand after reading all 4 books, and Midnight Sun, and thus truly knowing the characters. The book is better, but the movie is still worth seeing. I don't know what to do with myself if they take a whole year for the second one to come out.

***Santa's Lap***

No tears, no one was hesistant, so I consider it a success... although Kacey wouldn't show emotion either way. Matthew was ducking under the camera to get her to smile, didn't work :) but at least everyone is in the picture. Kylie looks adorable. Hold onto that baby Santa!

Then we did lunch at Meadow's Mall... Notice the ice cream while they are in their pretty dresses, yeah... that was all Matthew! He noticed the DQ while we were eating and off he went, slowly but surely the girls followed... Look at that chocolate goop :)

Love that face!
Kylie is really good at taking pictures (little does she know, she's getting a pink camera from Santa)

Sunday Morning Pictures

Pictures of my group, we were really shocked... this was the first picture- everyone looking and smiling at the camera. Usually we have to take 10 for maybe 1 good one. And yes, all my girls matching!

Sometimes the bloopers are fun too! :)

Kadyn is such a Daddy's girl!

So we had family pictures done yesterday with Anna, it was super fun. Anna is so great with the kids, and it was a task to get everyone situated and looking and smiling. I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out! But the day must have tuckered Little Kacey out, this is how I found her at 7:30 last night.

***Tomorrow we're sitting on Santa's Lap, can't wait for pictures of that. It should be interesting the last time Kylie would sit on Santa's lap was when she was 9 months old. Each year after that she adamantly refused. Our picture last year is Kacey all by herself... all the bribing in the world wouldn't make Kylie sit there. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
