Thankful Thursday

One of my good friends started this on her blog, and I really think it's a good idea- so I'm going to do it too. I feel like I have so many little things that happen throughout the week that I'm thankful for and I want to acknowledge them... and funny how when I'm looking, I seem to notice more and more of those special, little things. :)

*********

So here goes... Five things I am thankful for this week...

1. A fixed shower in our second master bedroom -well the shower is obviously in the bathroom in that bedroom... it actually broke at a perfect time, before our plumber friend moved to Ohio.

2. Extra hands for holding and loving my little ones this past weekend. It gave me a few more relaxing moments to enjoy my meal when we went out to eat or to actually look at things when we went shopping.

3. Normal looking ankles this far along in pregnancy... 3 girl pregnancies and this is a first for me.

4. A sweet compliment that Sheri Mohlman gave me on Sunday, it's really kept me cheery and smiling all week! :) (thanks girl)
*LAST BUT NOT LEAST*
5. Daddy/Daughter time! No lie, I noticed a difference (stronger bond) in their relationship after 2 solid days of just them one-on-one. I didn't expect that, it's truly wonderful.
**********
Come back next Thursday for more, and I challenge anyone who wants to do it--- and who remembers--- to do it too... spread the gratitude... THANKFUL THURSDAY!!!

Daddy/Daughter Disneyland

Well, they're on their way home!!! Fun was had by all, although Matthew said the humidity made him feel like he was going to melt. The crowd was good. I felt he could have stopped to feed her more, instead of just a pretzel here and ice cream there... but they survived. That's probably just the difference between a mom and a dad. He does get an A++ for taking so many pictures for me... so to completely bore you, here are about a thousand pictures from their 2.5 day trip!

******

New hat, she only has about 7 disneyland hats here at home... Wall-E
Goofy
Posing, or just plain tired... probably a little of both
What a good dad, suffering through the Princess Show :) and it looks like he did a pretty straight line on her head for those pigtails... good job!

This is later on that day, after the pool and baths... however Matthew has changed clothes and Kylie hasn't. Apparently, there was an "issue" there. I only packed her 4 disney shirts to choose from, but she wanted to wear that one AGAIN.

NEW Sunglasses!
CA Adventure Minnie Mouse

On the train that night. Apparently there was an "issue" with the fireworks. He wanted to watch them, she didn't. She had her hands on her ears- I think she was tired. Every time we go, we've never seen the fireworks. I always say the girls are too tired and will be cranky, which I'm right... he's just never believed me until now. HEHE :) He did get to watch a bit of it and said it was the best fireworks show he's ever seen in his life.... but they did have to leave early.

I'm glad they went and had fun... I missed my Kylie terribly, but I'm glad I wasn't there in the heat and walking around. That and only having Kacey at home was a cake-walk, wow! Obviously, I didn't think that when I only had one child, I guess I'm progressing as a mother :)

AND, I think my sweet hubby realized how hard it is to be the "parent in charge" 24/7 and I think he realized how much I do (and that's only for ONE child, of which he had the easier one)... hehe :) nice bonus on top of being missed. But I'm so glad they had fun and made all these sweet memories!!!!

This Past Weekend

This past weekend we had a visit from Matthew's family~ Grandma, Uncle Bryan and Aunt Rosie, and Uncle Aaron... the girls LOVED all the extra attention! Matthew and I enjoyed the relief of a few extra helping hands... sorry to see you all go, we had fun!!!
**********
Everyone going for a walk Friday morning, while Daddy was at work and I was at a doctor's appt. (fyi: ultrasound next appt to determine c-section or not)

We went to Peter Piper Pizza later that day, you'd like to think it was for the girls... but all of Matthew's brothers are little kids at heart so everyone had a blast! Although Kacey got stuck at the top of the toyland, she wasn't frantic but she wasn't coming down either... luckily Aunt Rosie was able to go up and rescue her :)

POOL TIME!

They love their Uncle Bryan :)
I posted almost the same picture 3 times, so I could get everyone in it... This one has Aunt Rosie and Uncle Aaron...

This one has Grandma...

Sunday Morning Pictures

(we tell Kacey to look up and smile, but Kylie ends up thinking we're telling her)

Off They Go...

Matthew has only asked me about 1,000 times if he and Kylie could leave the night before I'd scheduled for their Disneyland trip- which essentially means I'd go one full day w/o seeing Kylie- finally today I caved. This way they're nice and rested and can go straight into the park at 9 am on both days. Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the first day in Kylie's whole life that we haven't seen eachother... I know it sounds like it's not a big deal, but I am truly heartbroken. It's just one more step of her growing up that I'm not ready for, although she is... which kinda makes me feel better but I was still crying as they left. Kylie's so cute, Matthew walked in after his class tonight and Kylie told him that I was sad and I was crying because she was leaving for Disneyland. So Matthew asks me how long it would take me to pack up for Kacey and I to go too (which just really isn't feasible for me and it's nice for them to have daddy/daughter time... I keep telling myself) ... Kylie was getting furious, "No no, Kacey can't come, no Mommy... no just me and you Daddy!!!"

How happy does she look?!!??

So off they go to Disneyland, they'll be back in 2 days. Let's just hope I don't go into labor, which I never have all by myself. I've always been induced, but I've got my folks here. My mom, in case Matthew can't get back in time, to be with me at the hospital. And my dad on Kacey duty... which would be hilarious because I think the last diaper he changed was mine. And he has a problem with telling my girls "no." I can just see Kacey waking up in the middle of the night not wanting to sleep and him and her having a little party. Fingers crossed we don't come to that and the 2 days fly by.
