New Pictures for the New Year!

We went today to get some family pictures taken. This is us right before we left... Kylie's doing better now, fighting off that terrible cough and cold. Poor thing, this has been a rough month for her. Her little nose has been all red, she's got her own box of Puffs Plus. Kacey is over the whole broccoli thing. The past few nights, she has been sleeping so well! Heaven on earth right there! Nothing better than a full night's sleep. Oh, and I swore up and down that I would never dress my girls the same... so much for that! I dress them the same every single chance I get. Every time I'm at the store and I can find the same 5T and 6 months girl clothes, I always buy it! It's just too cute!

So, we should be getting our photos back in about 2 weeks. Then we'll send them out. Kylie was such a monster. First off, the photographer (male) was a little too trendy and feminine. So she didn't like him from the get go. She wouldn't go near the back with the camera, she didn't want to hold Kacey in any pictures. Kacey then decided to get tired and fussy. Matthew and I were just trying to survive. Anyway, all the pictures look great... spent more money than I had planned :) what can you do?! I'll post them when I get them... Also, I just got my hair cut. I look like such a Mom!

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas! The girls were up at 7 am, so down we went to see what Santa brought us. Matthew was waiting for Kylie downstairs with the dvd camera. Kylie's first words were "toys" (as she came down the steps) and then "mine" (as she started playing with it). As you can see, Kylie got a new kitchen (Which took Daddy 3 hours to put together last night. It was in about 13,000 pieces.) She got a lot of other presents too, including $$ and books but the kitchen was the big hit. Excuse her hair... the bow's made it through all the extensive playing, ham dinner, and a nap...

It was Kacey's first Christmas! She got lots of clothes, teething rings, $$, and some little toys. She's been really cute in her little "Baby's First Christmas" outfits. (And I do mean plural, we had two of them. She's been a little fussy today though. Poor thing... our tradition is Chinese food on Christmas Eve. (a little wierd, but we love it!) I completely forgot that broccoli doesn't digest well with her, and I ate beef w/ broccoli. My poor baby :)

Uncle Aaron...

He stopped by before Christmas for a quick visit! We were so excited to see him... Denver airport was closed, so his airline plans were changed all around. He ended up taking a different flight from BYU to Philly, and stopped in Vegas to see his nieces.
Kylie calls him, "The Uncle Aaron." She adores him, she always wants him to hold her!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

The stockings are hung...

The presents are wrapped...

More presents are wrapped, it's cold outside, more presents are wrapped... more presents, presents, presents.

What's going on with US!

***MOST RECENTLY***

So we were planning a trip up to Utah for a long weekend last week. So on Wed night, I said to Matthew that for some reason I felt really strongly that we shouldn't go, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why... 5 hours later, he gets massively sick. He's better by Friday, just very weak. He still felt like we could go, but I cancelled everything... thankfully so, can you imagine being out of town with a sick child?!

Kylie is doing much better now. As many of you know, we were in the ER for 10 hours on Sunday. We went to the closest hospital to our house and there was a 2.5 hour wait!!! Can you believe that?!! However, we know an ER DR from church, who we called, and he directed us to another hospital. This was actually where Kacey was born; the waiting room was packed, however, they were expecting us and we walked right in. Hey, it pays to have connections! Kacey stayed with my mom throughout this whole fiasco, and thankfully, she took a bottle! (that's an ongoing battle, stubborn little thing!)

But the hospital experience was so traumatizing for Kylie. I think she still has nightmares about it, because she wakes up crying in the middle of the night and we have to go in and calm her down. The vomiting has stopped (for her and Matthew) and her spirits are up. It was just really rough on her. The day after it all, I couldn't give her too many liquids at a time because she'd throw it up. And, she was so thirsty. Everytime I'd give her a little sip, she'd grip tightly on the cup and her little hands would shake. She even would grab onto the refridgerator door and cry, "milk, milk." Poor baby, it broke my heart.

But, she's doing MUCH better. We took her to the Disney store, and let her pick out anything she wanted. Cute little thing only wanted the lollipops, but we bought her a few other things too.

Kacey and I seem to be immune. I've got a little bit of a hoarse throat, but we're just happy that the bug has left our home. I can't get sick. If I get sick, the whole house will fall apart. And my mom said that she doesn't do throwing up, so we're on our own! :)

Anyway, that's the highlight with us. Getting a Jeep Wagoneer Tandem Stroller today!!! We're excited!!!

She was on this thing for nearly an hour- going up and down and up and down.

She did the funniest thing the other night... we usually put her to bed by letting her watch a movie of her choice. Matthew was holding her and she was looking at all the movies. After about 15 minutes of him saying all the movies to her, he said "pick one" in an annoyed voice. She looked at him, put her hand over his mouth and said, "Shh." It was the cutest thing!

Kacey has a new favorite Daddy song. It goes, "My name is Kacey, and I am Baby, Number TWO." He moves her hands all around like she's dancing while he sings it, and she giggles and smiles. And (thank the heavens) she's been sleeping better. She's been going down around 10, and she wakes up at 4. She eats and goes back to sleep until about 8. Sleep is a glorious thing!

This is Uncle Bryan with Kacey. If he looks a little nervous with her, he is. :)

Us by my parents house. As you can see, I'm gripping onto Kylie. She wanted to go IN the water.

Kylie's helping Kacey get her shoes on... this was as we were getting ready to leave to sit on Santa's lap.

How pretty is she! Needless to say, she is in Kacey's crib (with Kacey). She climbed in and apparently likes the Winnie the Pooh mobile.

Everyone with Santa... Matthew and I had no intention of being in the picture. But as you can see, Kylie was less than thrilled and it was the only way to get her in the picture. Kacey is hamming it up!

A picture of the two of us!

Rarely is there ever a picture of us, without the girls! :)
