Daddy's in Reno with President Bush

Matthew's comment was, "The President must have known I was here, so he decided to come and say hello."
The real story, Matthew's in Reno on business and so is President Bush... they are in the same hotel. Matthew said security is crazy. They're both leaving today (Matthew's off to LA), maybe Matthew can hitch a ride on Air Force One.
We miss you Daddy, see you Thursday!!! She kept lifting her hands in the air, I have no clue why???

She's got 4 teeth on top and 3 on the bottom... she's such a cheeser.
Aren't those the cutest outfits!? Thank you Aunt Chiarina :)
See Kylie's little green "ring," it's actually a hair scrunchie... but she insists on wearing it as a ring! Notice the sunglasses in her hand, she's only 3 and she has to be Miss Fashionable when we go out!

Kylie's Starting Gymnastics

How precious does she look?!? She looks like such a big girl now, not a baby anymore!

It's a class for 3 years olds, doing age appropriate circuits and learning listening skills. I'm all about that!!!
She really loved the class. The first part of the class was warm-ups where they have to stand on a number on the mat. Kylie understood that she had to stand on a number, so she was constantly moving around the mat and picking up her number and bringing it with her... so she could stand on it when she got to where she wanted! THAT'S MY KID! She's too smart for her own good :)
Also, after she finished a whole circuit... she put her hands in the air and yelled, "I did it!" She was quite the little actress of the group!
At the end of the class, all the kids were sitting in a circle (on their number on the mat). The teacher was going around giving everyone a stamp on their hands and feet. Kylie realized what the teacher was doing, and how Kylie was going to be next to last because of where she was in the circle... so what did she do???... you guessed it... she picked up her number and moved so she was sitting right next to the little girl who was currently getting stamped... so Kylie would be next... she's so much like her father!!!

Uncle Bryan and Aunt Rosie

Kacey must hate the flash, we took about 10 pictures and she blinked in all of them!
Yeah! Uncle Bryan and Aunt Rosie came to visit us this weekend! The girls had such a great time with them. Every morning Kylie would wake up and ask, "I go wake up Uncle Bryan?" Kacey found herself a comfortable little spot on Aunt Rosie and didn't move for about 3 days :)
We really miss you guys, hurry back to us soon!

Happy 30th Birthday to Daddy

We celebrated Matthew's 30th Birthday... he's getting old! :) He opened his birthday presents, and we had a nice lunch at Chili's. (fyi: with his birthday money, he's going to buy a new fancy ipod) Then movie date night for us while Yaya (my mom) babysat the girls! We saw the Bourne Ultimatium, which was really good. I never saw the first two, but enjoyed it still the same.... it was just great to leave the house childless for a while!!! Kylie was insistent that we all wear the Tinkerbell party hats from her birthday. Matthew wanted to be sure I clarfied that they weren't his first choice ;) And when we were done, we put them back in the cabinet, we'll probably use them again for Kacey's one year birthday next month.
Singing happy birthday to Daddy.

Kylie and I made the cake... if she had her way, she would have licked up all the sprinkles.
Make A Wish!

We let Kacey have at a piece of cake.

I can't believe she blinked! I just loved this picture too much not to post it.

Here's the princess... how tired does she look?! She was up last night from 1:15 am to 5 am, and I have no clue why. She didn't even nap the day before... consequently, she was a little terror in nursery this morning.

Mani's & Pedi's

We got french manicures and pedicures. Kylie is so cute, she loves hers. It's almost as if she's prancing around on purpose like she's hot stuff! When Matthew came home, she ran to the door... "Daddy, Daddy, look at my pretty toes!!!" :)

(Kacey sat this one out... I was too concerned about her putting her hands in her mouth (her feet for that matter too!) with the nail polish)

Kacey Got Her Ears Pierced

Yesterday, we got Kacey's ears pierced! She was really good about it too. She sat on Matthew's lap, it took a few seconds after it happened for her to realize what was going on. After 2 minutes, she was completely fine. The lady gave her (and Kylie) lollipops... so all was well. Matthew took a few pictures of Kacey this morning to show her pretty new ears.

Kylie's New Toy

Yesterday, we got Kylie this little train set and table. She loves it! When we came home from church, she ran in the house and ran all the way back into her toy room.... mind you, I'm barely in the kitchen with my purse still on my shoulder, Matthew's still in the garage getting Kacey out of the car seat... she had turned all the lights on and all we could hear was the clicking and clammering of her train.

A girly girl...

Matthew picked up a crushed leaf from the floor, and he teased Kylie that it was a spider. (She calls all spiders, "spiderman") We didn't think she'd believe it, but she did! So Kylie thinks it's a spider, and she's screaming and running behind me. He's loving it and teasing her with it.... trying to get it in her face. Poor baby, tears were streaming down her cheeks, her face bright red... traumatic experience.

****
We did family pictures at the portrait studio this past weekend, so I should have those to post in a few weeks. They came out really nice, so I'm looking forward to that. The house is coming along also, the rooms are all nearly done so I'll post more pictures soon... The backyard is gearing up for a pool. We're having it designed as we speak, so more to come on that...

Many Posts of Vacation Pictures

Us on the Merry-Go-Round.

Us, with Uncle Bryan and Aunt Rosanne.

More of Dutch Wonderland

While Kylie was doing this....

Kacey was sound asleep in Uncle Aaron's arms.

More Pictures...

Some from the beach...
Kacey was wiped out!
When Kylie saw Grandpa's riding mower, she was in heaven!
We were all sitting in the family room when Matthew and Kylie came riding past the window waving... it was too cute!
another from the beach... Grandma and Kacey decided to go test out the water.

Kylie...

Kylie had a lot of fun on all the rides... she even loved the tram car on the Boardwalk. This is her with Grandma and Grandpa (Matthew's parents). -I don't think they knew I was taking a picture of them :) Kylie now repeats the saying, "watch the tram car please." It doesn't get old or anything like that... yeah! :)

Pretty Baby Kacey

She really has more hair than it lets on in these photos... maybe I'm a mother in denial :) But to me, she doesn't seem that bald. It must be the lighting (wink, wink).

Enjoying the Rides

Kylie on a kiddie water ride. There was a little hill in it where she got splashed... which is why she's covering her face.

Visit with Oma

The girls with Oma. Kylie and Kacey are her only great grandchildren, so far.

(Oma is German for Grandmother, she's my grandmother for those of you who don't know)

Not a happy camper...

Poor Kacey is about to pop 2 more teeth, the other one on the bottom and one on the top. She is miserable. She can't sleep for more than 30-45 minutes at a time... needless to say, you can guess how often we were up last night! She makes the cutest little face, scrunches her little nose and makes an "O" with her mouth, and she lets out quite a little whine. It's rough. And she's running a temperature. I can't get her below 101, I'm nervous to see what will happen tonight. I know it's going to spike. My poor little baby.

Pretty New Sailor Dresses

Thank you Aunt Laura for our new dresses!
They looked so precious today for church... I'd have a bow glued on Kacey's head (like I did with Kylie) except for the fact that within minutes, Kacey takes the bow off, puts it in her mouth, somehow unties the bow, and starts choking on it. Needless to say, we go without a bow now. (and I just can't bring myself to put one of those big headband things around her head)

Kacey's 9 month appt...

They are so cute together. Once again, they are dressed the same :) Kacey's face is a little red from the carrots she ate for lunch... (they seem to stain her mouth for a few hours after she eats them)

We went for Kacey's well-child check up today. She is 16 lbs, 10 oz and 28.5 inches long. She is in the 75% for height, and the 25% for weight. She's just like Kylie, tall and thin! :) We were happy today, no shots for Kacey so that makes life a litte easier. Kacey's usually not herself for 2 or 3 days, recovering after those shots....

***I've got to tell this story. I bought the cd of one of the new songs that I just love, and I play it every now and again while the girls and I are in the car. I don't think I'm playing it all the time, but I must be... it came on the radio the other day, and Kylie was singing right along. Matthew looks at me like, what is going on!!! It's a hard song too. (you might have heard it, "Good Directions" by Billy Currington, it's country). The look on Matthew's face was priceless... Kylie's singing away... "way up yonder past the caution light, there's a little country store with an old coke sign, you've gotta stop and ask ...." So funny!!! She's such a smart little thing!

Catch Up!

We've been in for a week... there's still ALOT of boxes left, but I really think we're coming along. These are the only 2 rooms I'm proud of so far: living room and dining room.

The kitchen, nook, and family room are on their way... I still need to decide where I want my pictures to be hung. The bedrooms, you ask... are still a work in process!! Kylie's is purple and Kacey's is soft yellow... each with precious little borders. Unpacking them is a bear! My girls (ages 3 and 9 months) have more clothes than Matthew and I put together... and we have a lot of clothes!!!

Also, if you can see... I've got my mom's hummels in my hutch in the dining room :) They look so pretty!
