Family Home Evening

Our yearly trip to the pumpkin patch.
I just couldn't crop Kylie out of that one... she is such a dare devil!
I love that, with Kylie's hair sticking straight up.
My sweet little angel, just amusing herself with some hay.
One Last Picture. Kacey's still fascinating with the hay- gotta love her.
By this time, everyone was worn out (moody.. as it occasionally happens in a house full of females) and ready to go... but we had a nice time! (and Kylie cried the whole ride home because she didn't want to leave)

Fire Station Field Trip

Kylie's Preschool went to the Fire Station today. The kids were absolutely fascinated!

Kylie in the ambulence. As soon as she walked in, she goes... "this is cool!" I didn't even know she knew that saying.

Kylie getting off the ambulence.
Kylie in the fire truck.
Group Picture!

The ride home... hehe

That evening... We decided to get Kylie's hair cut. I love it!

She says that it's like Mommy's hair, because mine is about that length. She's a cutie.

Daddy's New Car

Fun for Daddy!

Since we've been married, he's been driving the Accord I had in high school. We sold my old '98 Accord :( ...to a really sweet girl who's just starting college... so we needed to get Matthew a new "ride"... And here it is, 2008 Honda Accord. I told Matthew, he better love it (which he does), because it's gonna be his for the next 10 years... I've got babies I've gotta put through college.

Sunday Morning...

I think it should be the other way around, but Kacey just loves to push Kylie on it. Maybe she doesn't trust Kylie to push (I don't think I would either!)

It is so funny, when Matthew's home with us before church I always feel rushed.
But when he's at meetings Sunday morning, I always have plenty of time with the girls in the morning for breakfast and taking pictures... and I'm doing everything!
He must interrupt our "flow." :)

Flashback Friday

Halloween 2004: The Flintstones and the Rubbles We went to a huge Halloween party when we lived up in Herriman, Utah with The Williams. We miss you guys so much!
This night, Matthew won "cutest costume" and he was so proud of himself. I was too, but that was because I made his and my costumes... actually hats off to Julie (Betty) she totally coached me through it.
Matthew would also like everyone to know that we strapped pillows around his waist under the costume, he really wasn't this fat. :)

Bamm-Bamm and Pebbles.

This is Jaxon, how cute is he! He was just the hit of the party that night... so sticking cute!

Kylie was so sick, as you can see around her eyes and nose. Her nose was running constantly, she was doped up on meds. It was rough, her first real cold. Here she's 6 months old... see look my babies are bald! It was all I could do too get that little white thing in her hair like Pebbles.

You just know they're thinking, "HUH?"

Something I learned about myself today...

First off, Kylie got to pick out of the treasure box today at Preschool... because she earned 5 pennies for being good. She was so excited, she came running out the door with candy in hand, just so proud of herself!

Okay, something I learned about myself today... is if you play Christmas music while I'm shopping, I'm going to spend at least twice as much! I was at Kohls today (while Kylie was in Preschool). And the little girl's section is right by the cards and Christmas music was playing and the trees were up and decorated... and everyone knows I LOVE CHRISTMAS (the music starts in my house as of Nov 1st, and my trees are up shortly thereafter)... so yup... I bought the girls color coordinating outfits and just had a blast singing along with the Christmas classics, as I kept adding more and more into my cart.

~~~dear, that's your heads up that the Kohl's bill is through the roof this month... loves! :)
Apple Picking
We spent the morning apple picking at Gilcrease Orchard... we had a great time, the weather was gorgeous! The girls had so much fun, they both came home and fell asleep...
we need to do this more often :)
Notice how we all match, I'm crazy... but I love doing that!
A Big Girl's Bike
Kylie got a new Princesses Bike this weekend... BIG HIT! She got a matching helmet and pads... that she won't take off even when she goes in the house. She doesn't quite understand that she has to continually pedal, she does it for a bit and stops thinking the bike will keep going.
That's Maggie putting her curious little nose into everything. Maggie wanted Kylie's knee pad.
And, we couldn't leave out Baby Kacey... I'm not sure what she's reaching out too. I think Maggie was over there.
(How crazy windy was it Saturday??? Wow!)
Flashback Friday
Since we're planning another trip to Disneyland before Thanksgiving, I thought I'd post a few pictures from our trip back in March of 2006. The heated pool, which was still freezing :) Matthew was crazy and going off the waterslides. Not to toot my own horn, but I was so sick (and pregnant with Kacey) and I don't look too terribly "green" in this picture.
It hadn't rained in 9 months in Anaheim, and it rained while we were there. It was so cold, but we had the best time!!!
Kylie is getting so excited for the trip. She keeps telling me that her and Daddy are going to ride"The Dumbo," which is her favorite. Since she's really tall, Matthew gets her on practically every ride, including the Matterhorn which freaks me out.
Gymnastics
Okay, so a bunch of you know the 'issues' with gymnastics class that a few of us are going through. But I think I'm going to enroll her again for the next session... she's really getting it down and having fun. Mind you, I'm a nervous wreck the whole time because some of the stipulations are a little too much on a 3 year old (yeah, I'm going to be "THAT" mother!) And MY 3 year old likes to do things her way... But I was so proud of her today - learning to wait her turn and listen to directions.
That's Kylie's friend Adam in the white shirt.
Okay, so that balance beam is super high. Notice the teacher is busy with another student, but that doesn't stop my Kylie. All of us mothers were sitting there freaking out when the teacher showed the kids what to do. There's Kylie, did it all by herself, first time, no help, didn't fall!
Matthew's Post...
The funniest thing about that picture is Kacey sneaking her head in! Look at that smile!!!
On another note...
To all you Eagle fans, I have one thing to say: HA HA 20-12
GO REDSKINS!
FLASHBACK
Look what I dug up... This was 4 years ago, Aaron was leaving for Germany on his mission.
For those of you who don't know, these are Matthew's brothers. Brad, Aaron, and Bryan.
I was pregnant with Kylie. All I remember was it was early in the morning, and Brad drove me home so Matthew could get to work. I thought I was going to puke the whole ride home, Brad you're a maniac driver!
***BTW, Aaron's still not married... Currently taking applications, if interested please contact us! :)
My Crazy Bunch
We actually had time to spare this morning before heading off to church, so we were able to take a few pictures. They're snippets from a few photos because we couldn't get everyone smiling at the camera in the same photo.
What you're missing is her high pitched yell with that big mouth
That's our Kylie! :) Goof!
September 5th
Happy 1st Birthday Baby Kacey!!! This new toy was a big hit, for her and Kylie...
I'm very proud of my cake, the icing is even homemade! I didn't attempt writing 'happy birthday' on it... baby steps. :)
Today was also Kylie's first day of Preschool with Mrs. Tate. She had a really great time, although she came home exhausted! It's rough work to be a 3 year old.
How cute is she-- modeling her bookbag!
Aunt Judy's Visiting
We're having a fun time with Aunt Judy. We spent Labor Day downtown and had lunch at the Venetian. Kylie twirling her speghetti.
She was having a lot of fun with that sunhat.
Kylie wanted to "ride on the boat" and we might have if it wasn't 109 outside.
